Playing catch-up.......Date with Grandma!

Ok so I have slacked off in the blogging area (that's not the only area) this summer, and since this blog is our "family history", "journal", and "scrapbook" you get to read about things that happened a while ago, at least until I catch-up to the present....so here we go!

Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Skip have season passes to the Capital Theater. One of the plays for this season was High School Musical! Grandma Kathy invited Haylee to go with her. Grandpa Skip was so sad he was missing it, but he felt happy knowing Haylee "owed him one". When he told Haylee that he was so nice to let her have his ticket she said, "No Grandpa, I took Grandma's ticket and Grandma took yours!" They are so clever:) Haylee had a BLAST! She didn't stop talking about it for a week. Grandma also spoiled her. She bought her a I heart Troy t-shirt. She would wear it everyday, if I would wash it every night. She also came home and told me she had a little tummy ache. I asked her why and she said Grandma took me to get Winger's wings, then we had a milky way, and skittles, and the list went on and on. She had such a great time Thanks Grandma We LOVE you SO MUCH!

A Streak of BAD Luck...

If you haven't heard already we are supposed to be heading towards California tomorrow morning, bright and early (well probably dark and early;) ) So why is it that nothing can go right? Everything that could go wrong...has, and when I think it can't get any worse...it does! Well, I woke up around 4:30am and to my surprise the worst problem so far....Avery is running a fever! OK, SERIOUSLY! So, I have been up for about 2 hours and am sitting here trying to get Avery into her pediatrician. Well, I just got ahold of their answering service and their whole office is closed today! I can go see a different Dr. at a different office that we have never been to before, but they don't have any of her past medical history, and I need her to be better by tonight. I know I just need to FREAK OUT for a minute and then I can pull myself together and get ready to go. I just hope it's nothing serious and we can get it worked out fast...with an antibiotic, I hate when they say ,"it's just a virus, it will work itself out!" it usually takes to long to work itself out. So here goes my day of Dr. appts, housecleaning, laundry, packing, shopping, weeding...and probably a thousand other things that need to be done. After everything the last 2 weeks we need a vacation....and I think "the universe" is making us earn it! WISH ME LUCK...I will need it!

Avery Loo is 1

Happy Birthday Avery Loo! I can not believe my baby is 1! She is growing up so fast. We had a fun get together with our family to celebrate. The kids did a pinata and played and then we ate cake and ice cream cones. Avery was so excited about the gifts people brought but she didn't really understand the wrapping. Even on the last gift as I was trying to show her that there was something in the bag she kept looking at me and shaking her head "no" (as if saying I don't want the bag) she was excited when she realized there was a book in the bag! Thanks to everyone who helped make this day special for Avery:) I will post more party picts soon!

My baby is getting Baptized!

I can hardly believe it! My sweet baby boy is now at the age of accountability. Ethan is getting baptized tomorrow morning, at 10 am. I can hardly wait. I think I am ready with every one's clothes, shoes, white undies (thanks Lisa). I am hoping I have enough food..... It will be great, for him and me. This is a big step for a mom!
