Day 2: Hee-Haws and noodles:)

For day #2 of Fall Break, Grandma came with me and the kids to Hee-Haws. All of the kids thought it was great!

The best thing about the 3rd child (and a lot younger then the other 2) is that they want to take you on everything so you get to go twice:)

The "hay-slide" was the funnest thing there. The kids probably rode it 50 times (in between everything else we did)

They had a fun petting area with goats, chickens, and ducks. Avery thought it was fun and liked petting the goats and chickens but, she screamed every time we got close to a duck (I don't know why?)

After Hee-Haws we met Grandpa Skip and Daddy at Olive Garden for dinner, YUMMY!

On a side note....We started off the day hanging around at home. I fed the girls left over pasta for lunch. The girls really liked it and ate their noodles fast. A little while after lunch Avery looked like she a booger in her nose (if this is to much info stop reading now!!) I hate when she has a booger so I tried "to get it". Every time I wiped her nose the booger would disappear and the Kleenex was still empty. Finally I got tired of the booger and pinned her down so I could get it. After a few seconds I got it and started pulling it out....well, it just kept coming. I pulled something about 3 inches (no kidding I measured) out of her nose. Kind of freaked me out for a split second until I realized it was a noodle from lunch! Yeah.....that's not the end of it. So we start getting ready for naps and I realize she is acting like she is kind of gagging, and she's breathing more out of her mouth then her nose. So again I pin her down and look up her nose and I can see another noodle in the other nostril!!!!! Are you kidding me, how could this happen? So I grab the bulb ( you know the blue one from the hospital) and try sucking it out and it doesn't work so I try wiping and picking. Again, doesn't work. OK well I can't put her down for a nap with a noodle up her nose making it so she can't breathe. So we go out side to play and keep her awake, hoping it will work its way out on its own. My sweet friend was outside with her girls and I explain our noodle situation to her. She being the kind and wonderful friend that she is decides to help. I hold Avery down, and she picks Avery's nose (I know, right! I told she was Sweet! and she has longer nails then me) So after lots of snot and screaming the noodle won't budge. I take Avery home and try to think of other ways to get it out. I tried to get to sneeze by looking at the light, didn't work. I tried making her smell pepper, she sneezed once and I got a small 1/4 inch chunk out. After that I couldn't see it so I put her to bed. After she woke up we went to Hee-Haws. I told my mom I thought there was a chance she still had a noodle up her nose. My mom told me that was crazy and that she thought she was acting fine. Well, why we were at dinner Avery sneezed and Andy screamed, "there's the noodle I can see it!" She sneezed a second time and the noodle came half way out. I grabbed it and pulled and again another huge noodle came out her nose! The whole family sat there stunned. I have no idea how she managed to get 2 long noodles up both nostrils, but I am so glad they are out!

This is the 2nd noodle in case you don't believe me. It is only about half the size of the first but, I wouldn't want that up my nose!?!
